Product Review: AspenClean all-natural cleaning products

I’ve been using AspenClean’s all-natural cleaning products made in Canada for a few months now, and I have to say they are truly outstanding. Made in Vancouver, they are organically-certified by EcoCert, so you know they're the real deal. Plus, they are never tested on animals. Yay! :-)

The entire range smells good, feels good and does good. What more can we ask for? I love them all, but my 2 favourite products are the Dish Soap and the Bathroom Cleaner.

Dish Soap:

We cook A LOT in our house and there is always a lot of dishes to do. My husband is in charge of the cooking (it’s the Italian in him…) and I take care of washing the (many) pots and pans. I must admit I’ve always used the “bad” soaps like Palmolive and Dawn, simply because they're the only things that really worked for me. So I was more than a little sceptical when I first tried AspenClean’s all-natural dish soap. With it’s pretty geranium & orange smell (from pure essential oils), how could it go to work against grease? Well it turns out that it does just as good a job, without all the nasty chemicals! It soaps up really nicely, smells amazing, cuts through grease easily and feels good on your hands. Perfect!

Bathroom Cleaner:

Let’s face it: cleaning the bathroom is never fun, regardless of what products you use to get it done. Again, I’m usually partial to the “big guns” of bleach cleaners. Makes me feel like I sanitized the bathroom somehow…and it smells clean too. But recently I’ve been looking for new ways to do things and feeling like I need to have a gentler effect on the planet. So I was open to trying AspenClean’s 100% natural cleaners, and especially their bathroom formulation. And I have to say I’m impressed. Yes, it does smell amazing, thanks to pure essential oils of lavender & lime (imagine!). But don’t be fooled, it’s no light weight! It does wonders to sinks, tubs and toilets. It’s surprisingly effective on soap scum and hard water stains, while being soft on skin (I’m not a big fan of gloves). And if you use it with it’s colour-coded companion microfiber cloth (NOT made in Canada) it makes cleaning quick, easy and (almost) pleasant. A winner!

If you’d like to try these amazing products, they’re on sale for the entire month of January! Check out AspenClean’s Facebook page for the promo code.
