Canadian Fashion Friday with Samantha Stylish – Ferhn Clothing

Fall with Ferhn!

Ferhn clothing line is the brain child of talented and established Toronto designer Carrie Hayes. With over 10 years industry experience, Carrie has dedicated herself to starting this label as an affordable Canadian-made alternative to her luxury collection. Carrie is famous for her Carrie Hayes one-of-a-kind evening wear created for movie-stars with praise for her unique work by the industry faves: Flare, Elle Canada and FASHION! Her success with the formal line is what drives her to create a product that can be approached by all women in Canada as and fuel branching her into the US.

Carrie’s slogan for Ferhn is “Clothing with good bones”. The statement is iconic to several Canadian designers who produce in Canada. Designers understand that you are making an investment in their clothing and because of this; much effort goes into the development and production of a quality garment.

This fall for Ferhn, we see elegant silhouettes that will truly stand the test of time. A somewhat neutral palette that is perfect for the modern gal who loves to throw in splashes of colour (similar to what I have done all week!). We see these beautiful details in the cable-knit sweater dress. This is a staple to the modern women’s wardrobe and designer Carrie has taken it to the next level by adding subtle pleating details. All of her pieces are perfect for the work day, but can easily be glammed up by adding your favourite – Made in Canada – jewellery. The goal of Ferhn, is to get women off the “fashion merry-go-round and on to something better”. I cannot agree more with this statement! Out is the old basic blazer and in is the Scuba Jacket, an option that brings more style and fun to your work week fashion blues!

I am so impressed with this collection, each piece is well thought out making it a staple piece that will remain stylish classics in your wardrobe f-o-r-e-v-e-r! Designer Carrie also gives her time to Ryerson University, teaches classes, sits on the Art of Fashion Foundation board, runs an evening wear line, and more and still manages to produce and brilliant collection in Canada! I am so excited to see the Spring line from Ferhn!
